Our New School Hall Officially Opens
Sunday the 13th of May was a very special day! We have been on a great journey and through God’s grace we are finally here! The school hall has been completed!
All our students and staff accompanied by our trustees, board members, friends and supporters gathered to dedicate the building to God. Founding Trustee David Moffat opened the service in prayer, followed by a short introduction by the School Principal, Andrew Cowling. School Chaplain Henry Kasonso and Primary Teacher Claire Kafwimbi led praise and worship and an inspiring sermon was delivered by Dan Visanni, an Elder at Mkushi Christian Fellowship, North Church.
Many, many people prayed for this building and we are delighted to finally see it completed! We are confident that this new School Hall will be a place where countless significant events will take place and great memories will be made. What a blessing to have a state-of-the-art structure that will be used for a huge variety of events and gatherings including assemblies, meetings, examinations, school productions and Sunday evening Fusion to name a few.
We are very grateful to all who contributed to the completion of the hall including parents of current and past students, the Chengelo Educational Trust and many other friends of Chengelo. Your long lasting patience, financial sacrifice and dedication to this project will have a lasting impact on the future of Chengelo and its students!
To quote the words of the Chengelo School anthem, ‘May His name be forever glorified, in this place.’
This is wonderful. Well done to all who made this a success and of course a big thank you to God for Chengelo…!
