World Book Day 2022

What a fun day we had celebrating World Book Day last week! This year we focused on picture books and the power they hold to help all ages understand the world we live in.

During assembly, the children guessed which picture book characters the teachers had dressed up as! There were a number of fairytale characters, almost a whole box of crayons from ‘The Day the Crayons Quit’, Rosie Revere and her friend Ada Twist, Tintin, Handa, and finally Stickman who made a come-back… still looking for his family! We also enjoyed the World Book Day song and each class received a mystery book to enjoy later in the day.

We also ate pancakes, learned puppet making, explored illustration and so much more. Our love for reading is growing!
