Chengelo are Simba 7s U19 Rugby Champions
On Saturday 8th February 2020, Chengelo were crowned champions of the first ever Simba 7s U19 Rugby tournament after FQM discontinued their support of the event. The games took on new sponsors Suma Systems and the Ndola Educational Trust.
The team played with exceptional discipline, conceding only once during the whole tournament as can be seen from the results below:
– Kansenshi (0) vs (17) Chengelo
– Masala (0) vs (7) Chengelo
– Lubuto (0) vs (27) Chengelo
– Chengelo (20) vs (0) Simba
Cup final: Trident (7) vs (12) Chengelo
Our top try scorers on the day were Nathanael Falcone and Saul Chipwayambokoma. One of our youngest players on the team, Lubeba Sikamo was voted Player of the Tournament.
Well done to the Chengelo team for the wonderful display of school rugby and thank you to Simba International School for hosting the tournament.
