All the Days of my Life, a book by Russell J. Wyatt
Mkushi farmer, Russell Wyatt co-founded Chengelo School back in 1988 alongside colleagues David Moffat and Barton Young, all of whom still play key roles in the school through their service on the Board of Trustees as well as in countless other ways.
Most Old Chengelians will remember "Uncle Russell and Aunty Anne" fondly from their time at the school, especially in the early days when Russell was heavily involved in the building of the school and Anne was working in make-shift kitchens to provide excellent school meals. Russell, now 90 years old, has lead a fascinating life and the books recounts his very personal and often amusing experiences of the war years in England, his journey to Africa, the Fisher Family and most of all Anne and their lives there in Zambia - in short, faith, farming and family... with not a few twists and turns!
The book is available as a beautiful hard-cover edition as well as in paperback and Kindle/E-book from Amazon here.
Wow! must be a beautiful book. I remember spending days at his farm on attachment many years ago, he and aunty Anne were quite friendly and inspiring. At 90 years he has a legacy, a footprint, a visual representation for all to look to.
