World Book Day Celebrations in Primary

Chengelo Primary experienced a wonderful book-filled fun day to celebrate World Book Day on the 4th of March!

The children enjoyed a round robin of activities themed around books which included a treasure hunt, games and quizzes to do with the Bible, origami bookmark making, reading in the library and cookie decorating. Pre-school marked the day too with special activities and coming dressed as a book character. The staff also dressed up as book characters and Stickman spent the morning looking for his family!

I think the highlight for many though was the toilet roll book character competition. It was brilliant to have so many children get creative and participate but it made the judging very difficult!

Well done to all that got involved; your characters were colourful, inventive and eye-catching!
