Primary Sports Day

The second half of term for Chengelo Primary is coming to a close with a range of activities and Sports Day is one of them. This year, the event took place on the 22nd of July. The cold day started slowly while the children bubbled with a mixture of excitement and anxiety. The debate on which house would win the championship intensified as the pupils walked onto the playing fields.

The lower school started with a variety of fun circuit activities including a ball and spoon race, an obstacle race, a sack race, shuttle races, ball dribbling and skipping. The upper school on other hand were battling it out in long jump, shot put, high jump and running races. There was something for everyone and the children had a fantastic day competing against each other and supporting their house teams.

The final results for 2019 Sports Day Competition were:

  • Sable – 301 points
  • Kudu – 318 points
  • Impala – 357 points

Impala took the day. Congratulations Impala!

We would like to congratulate all our students for doing their very best! Special thanks go to our parents who were able to come and support the children.

David Tembo.
