After a period of significant growth, we are seeking dedicated educators to join the Creative Arts team to drive the school forward into its next phase.   POSITION AVAILABLE: Art and Design teacher The Art and Design teacher will make the education of the pupils their first concern and will be accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct. The Art and Design teacher will act with honesty and integrity, have strong subject knowledge, keep their knowledge and skills as a teacher up-to-date and will be self-critical, forge positive professional relationships and work with parents in the best interests of the pupils.   PERSON PROFILE:
  1. A relevant degree and a teaching qualification.
  2. Experience of delivering the Cambridge IGCSE and A-level course, or similar, is desirable.
  3. Experience working with/teaching diverse groups/diverse students
  4. Strong Christian values and a commitment to the vision and mission of the school.
  REMUNERATION: Staff who work at Chengelo do so out of a sense of calling and are paid at good local Zambian rates. CAREER OPPORTUNITY POSITION: Part-time Grade 1 Teacher START DATE: May, 2024 DATE ADVERTISED: 18.03.2024 APPLICATION DEADLINE: 22nd March, 2024 CONTRACT TYPE: Part-time/ Term 2 and 3, 2024. 1 day a week from 07:50 to 16:00; paid at a daily rate. JOB DESCRIPTION: Download Here   INTRODUCTION: We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our primary school team as a part-time Grade 1 teacher for two terms up to the end of 2024. The individual must be passionate about inspiring young learners and promoting their academic, personal and spiritual growth.   RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
  • Keeping a record of attendance using Engage
  • In conjunction with the main class teacher, regular assessment of pupils and marking of exercise books according to the marking policy.
  • Giving input into reports or grade sheets at the end of each term and attending the relevant parent-teacher consultations where necessary.
  • Taking an active role in maintaining high standards of student behaviour, discipline, safety and general well-being at all times and in all places around the school
  • Weekday duties as per full-time staff members within the school day.
  PERSON PROFILE:
  • Applicants must possess a relevant degree and a teaching qualification.
  • Applicants must be licensed teachers.
  • Teaching experience or a strong desire to contribute to the education sector.
