The Chengelo Trail Run

The Chengelo Trail Run is so much more than just a run. It is a celebration of trail running, adventure and the wonderful community that surrounds it.

Set among the beautiful hills behind Chengelo School in Mkushi, Zambia, the event takes runners along scenic trails, through forest paths and across challenging terrain with sweeping views of the surrounding farmland.

Open to a wide range of abilities, the Chengelo Trail welcomes runners and outdoor enthusiasts looking for something beyond the ordinary race experience. Our trails are beautiful, technical and steep in places. This is not road running, and the emphasis is on adventure, fun and finishing rather than speed or personal bests.

Whether you’re taking on your first trail, enjoying the mountain views or challenging yourself over a longer distance, there’s a trail waiting for you.

Come for the trails.
Stay for the adventure.
Leave with lasting memories.
